Located in the Entertainment District of downtown Toronto, the Ed Mirvish Theatre was one of the largest theatres in Canada. It was first opened in 1920’s being used as a motion picture theatre. It was originally known as the Pantages Theatre, and then the Imperial Theatre and later the Canon Theatre. It was purchased by Mirvish Productions in 2008 and on the 6th December 2011 they renamed the theatre in honour of popular businessman, Ed Mirvish.The theatre seats 2,300 guests and is perfect for any theatrical presentations, benefits, concerts, lectures and private functions. The theater has been an iconic part of Toronto’s entertainment scene for almost one hundred years.
