Canada’s National Ballet School provides a number of venues which can accommodate a variety of events.
Celia Franca Centre
Named after the founder and artistic director of the National Ballet of Canada, the three story Celia Franca Centre, hosts an atrium at the heart of the center called Mona Campbell Square. This is an ideal venue for weddings and other events. A remarkable contemporary assembly of glass and steel, encases the Georgian style house which was built in 1856, and was originally owned by Ontario Premier Sir Oliver Mowat. The atrium unwraps to a courtyard providing a transition to the outdoor patio perfect for weddings. The event space can accommodate up to 480 for a cocktail reception or 250 for a seated dinner.
Currie Hall
Located 1 block from the National Ballet School of Canada School, at 105 Maitland St., Currie Hall was built as a Quaker Meeting House in 1911 and was the original site of Canada’s National Ballet School. It is now used as a dining hall for students in the Professional Ballet program.
