The Steam Whistle Brewery is located in the heart of downtown Toronto, just south of the world famous CN Tower and the Rogers Center. The building was constructed in 1929, and the Roundhouse functioned as a steam locomotive repair facility. The Roundhouse was empty for 11 years until the Steam Whistle Brewing Company took it over in 1999. They opened to the public on May 24^th 2000, and it is now one of Toronto’s most visited attractions. The Roundhouse has been designated a National Heritage building.

The Steam Whistle Brewery is very unique and has remarkable architectural design elements, with 30 foot ceilings, large paned windows, exposed red bricks, exposed wood beams and pillars. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed, perfect for Steam Whistle Brewery weddings, corporate events, fundraisers, art shows and media events. They can accommodate both the wedding ceremony and the reception in various styles and formats. This is Steam Whistle’s best and most versatile event space. This spacious 4000 sq. ft. room can be set up in many various configurations with the capacity for 500 people for a standing reception or 250 for a seated dinner. The train doors are 30ft high, and can open onto a 2000 sq. ft. outdoor patio with spectacular views of the city skyline. The patio features cobblestone and embedded railway tracks, leading to a fully restored turn table for locomotives in the center of the Roundhouse.

Welcome to the Steam Whistle’s newest event space, located above the Gallery and Hall on the second floor. The room features floor to ceiling glass windows overlooking a breathtaking view of the Toronto skyline, Roundhouse, and view of the Hall and the Gallery below. This is perfect for corporate events and available Monday to Friday from 8am to 1pm.
